Diaz grew up in California. When she was fifteen, she was discovered by a photographer, who arranged a contract with the Elite modelling agency. From the age of sixteen, she travelled the world as a model.
After her modelling career, Diaz took up acting.
In 2009, she received a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
